Online Easter Weekend 2020
Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12
We are happy to announce
Online Easter Weekend 2020!
After the current viral outbreak led us to cancel the Easter Camp, we have been working hard on an alternative plan to bring people together to learn about the reason for our hope in Jesus – A topic that is fitting in the current time.
Our speaker, Dr. Calum Miller (RZIM) will be sharing online, and we will also facilitate small group discussions during this Online Easter Weekend.
As most of us are practicing social distancing to flatten the curve, it is good for us to have a chance to interact with people and engage our minds.
Join us Saturday 11/4 19:00-21:00 and Sunday 12/4 11:00-16:00
(Sat 20:00-22:00, Sun 12:00-17:00 Finnish time)
This event is free, but please sign up by April 1st if you want to join a small group.
The event will be held in English, but small group discussions can be in your local language depending on your needs.
You do not need to be a Christian to join, we welcome people of all backgrounds.
What is the program like?
Saturday (19:00-21:00 NO/SE/DK, 20:00-22:00 FI) will be a shorter session where we introduce the topic of hope, and also discuss in our small groups to share our thoughts on the topic. We are also planning a few small fun interactions during this session.
Sunday (11:00-16:00 NO/SE/DK, 12:00-17:00 FI) will be a longer session, as Dr. Calum Miller (RZIM) will be sharing two topics with us. After each talk, there will be a time for people to discuss within each small group. There will also be a break in between.
A more detailed schedule is in the works, and will be sent out before the start of the event.
How to connect
You can join us for our online sessions on https://ncccnextgen.online.church/ Here you can also join us these upcoming Sundays for our regular Sunday Services.
Make sure you have a working microphone and headset/speaker if you want to join a small group. It’s also best if you have a camera. Small groups will be held using video call software (up to each small group, but could be Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, Zoom, etc).

Information about the cancellation of Easter Camp in Drakudden, Sweden
Given the current situation of the covid-19 virus in Northern Europe, the Eastercamp Planning Committee has together with Next Gen Network and advice from the NCCC Nordic Council decided to cancel this year’s Eastercamp. We are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause for you.
If you have already paid the camp fee, you will get a refund. The camp fee collectors will refund the money within 22nd of March. If you have booked tickets for transportation to camp already, please contact the company you booked your tickets through about either a rebooking to a personal trip or a refund. If they inform you that you are not eligible for a refund, send your receipts for the booked tickets as attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then get back to you with more information about your refund.
We chose this year’s camp theme to be “Hope” for a reason and we hope that even though the camp is cancelled, we can remember to have hope in God throughout this situation.
